We're only one week into Cable's inaugural session, and already one network is shaking up their schedule for next session. Sources close to the Bloodsuckers and TCW: NXT sets say that second season renewals have been dished out at four episodes a piece.
According to sources close to Bloodsuckers showrunner, blueothello, he was quoted as to saying "hell yes" to the news yesterday. Bloodsuckers, which is battling against the highest rated show on cable, The Warded Few, has fended for itself fairly well, pulling in a 4.000 rating, a high for cable standards. Bloodsuckers stars Jeremy Renner, Jasika Nicole, Zoe Kravitz, Marshall Allman, and Matt Smith. Rumors are swirling that new cast members may be added for season 2.
TCW: NXT, the spin-off of the longest running TV series in HTG: TV history, was the third highest buzzed show on cable and it came first in its time slot in week one. TCW: NXT was also one of two shows to make the move from network to cable TV. Upon hearing the news about the renewal, Lucian was heard commenting on how the arrangement "should work" out in the end. Early rumblings are indicating that TCW: NXT may get bumped up to an hour show, though that is only a rumor, for now. TCW: NXT's cast includes TCW vets Orlando Jordan and Mike Adamle as well as a variety of rookies.
The ratings struggling crime drama T.G has been canceled by DRTV, and in the same week, picked up by the Flip Brothers Studio to become a feature film franchise.

The surprise hit of a show, The Suicide Hand Guide, has been renewed for a second season. The show comes from Blueothello (Assassin: A College Tale) and follows the adventures of a group of suicide doers as they attempt to navigate a world that sees them playing "games" to make sure that they are not go to their own personal hell.
The Suicide Hand Guide is currently the highest rated new serialized series. It has dominated its 10:30 timeslot for the last two weeks, with last having posted its highest rated episode ever which stood at 12.48.
The Suicide Hand Guide is the fourth confirmed series to return to the DRTV lineup next session, as it follows early renewed series Unfinished Business, It's Always Me, and Later Tonight with CzarTim.
Currently, the only actor that has been formally contracted to appear in the second season of the series is Jodelle Ferland, although their are rumors that see Derek Luke and Liam Aiken returning, as well; but, time will tell.
The Suicide Hand Guide currently airs at 10:30 on DRTV.
There was a lot of controversy surrounding the fabled third season to session 6 light weight contender and then session 7 top rated show I Don’t Care. The show has been canceled, twice, on two networks and has had lukewarm viewer response. It just makes it a very undefined show ratings wise. If anyone cares, who are they and why?
Producer Phaethon0017 wanted to make sure a few things were known about the Final Season before the season premiere this Wednesday.
Quote:
“For one, I didn’t say I was done until people started telling me that I was.”
“In the season 2 premiere, I included a slight jab at producer Chocolate Dog over his casting of what I felt was an important character for the show. Essentially his show Super’s schedule limited actress Eliza Dushku to two appearances for the season. I was able to work around it, but she really wasn’t needed on his show, I felt.”
“I guess the biggest offense I felt was the uncertainty. I wasn’t paid until very late in the game. Last year I did a short season of four episodes I couldn’t have been happier on my decision. Despite the show gaining steam ratings wise, it wasn’t getting any viewer feedback. Coupled with the estrangement of my network head over minor legalities, I was just glad to get it over with.”
“I used that scene pretty much to express my ambivalence of the show’s reception. I was happy to have my show coincidentally being one of the forerunners for that session’s #1 network, but I really was feeling on the outskirts of everything. I never specifically said that I was going to leave the show, but I decided to create that scene and see how things played out in my absence.”
“This was a bit different than when Quantum had cut off the show. I could understand that. It was ranked #8 overall, and he seemed to be heading in the direction that would lead to more dramas – look at what happened to Snobs. Here I was, the #1 show creator, not even getting my paltry money that was owed to me based on frivolous lawsuits that could have been pushed aside. At the very least make them official. But it just took time, and more time, and I finally decided I was going to go dark until I felt I needed to return.”
“By this point, I was feeling like Brett Favre. I had been apart of the other two networks and their success, I guess now I felt it was going to be my time to see if that success would translate for the final season or if the previous times had been flukes.”
“I really felt no pressure to perform here. I’ve done this twice already, so if the third try falls apart, so be it. This is probably the first show to be doing something like this. Whether you watched the first two seasons or not, everyone will be confused at the beginning of this season. We’re running six episodes, but we’re taking the annoying Star Wars approach to them. You will see how the show ends before you see how it started. I have some very interesting techniques to ensure you’re still interested in going back after hitting the wall."
“I don’t care. That was my motto when I started the show. I just pitched it because I wanted a show because Czartim had one, and it pissed him off that I got it without much effort. I’ve always written the show for myself, so as long as it doesn’t disappoint its biggest and only fan, it’ll be a success.”
