We're only one week into Cable's inaugural session, and already one network is shaking up their schedule for next session. Sources close to the Bloodsuckers and TCW: NXT sets say that second season renewals have been dished out at four episodes a piece.

According to sources close to Bloodsuckers showrunner, blueothello, he was quoted as to saying "hell yes" to the news yesterday. Bloodsuckers, which is battling against the highest rated show on cable, The Warded Few, has fended for itself fairly well, pulling in a 4.000 rating, a high for cable standards. Bloodsuckers stars Jeremy Renner, Jasika Nicole, Zoe Kravitz, Marshall Allman, and Matt Smith. Rumors are swirling that new cast members may be added for season 2.

TCW: NXT, the spin-off of the longest running TV series in HTG: TV history, was the third highest buzzed show on cable and it came first in its time slot in week one. TCW: NXT was also one of two shows to make the move from network to cable TV. Upon hearing the news about the renewal, Lucian was heard commenting on how the arrangement "should work" out in the end. Early rumblings are indicating that TCW: NXT may get bumped up to an hour show, though that is only a rumor, for now. TCW: NXT's cast includes TCW vets Orlando Jordan and Mike Adamle as well as a variety of rookies.

  • Bloodsuckers airs at 8:00 on BBS.

  • TCW: NXT airs at 9:30 on BBS.

Look out for more news on these shows, as it comes!

The ratings struggling crime drama T.G has been canceled by DRTV, and in the same week, picked up by the Flip Brothers Studio to become a feature film franchise.

"Some shows are too big for TV, and T.G is one of them," commented Flip Brothers Studio Co-Head RS, "The series is ripe, and better suited, to be a film freachise."

The series starred Channing Tatum as Alexander Bensen, an ex-con who returns home after seven years in prison and reignites a war between the two most powerful gangs in New York City, the T.Gs and the Red Dragons.

While the studio has not commented much about the project, being in very early pro-production, they have revealed that all of the shows cast members will be back.

The studio issued a brief statement; "We are excited to finally be working with Safron, and have high hopes for the future of T.G. Stay tuned for more info!"

The surprise hit of a show, The Suicide Hand Guide, has been renewed for a second season. The show comes from Blueothello (Assassin: A College Tale) and follows the adventures of a group of suicide doers as they attempt to navigate a world that sees them playing "games" to make sure that they are not go to their own personal hell.

The Suicide Hand Guide is currently the highest rated new serialized series. It has dominated its 10:30 timeslot for the last two weeks, with last having posted its highest rated episode ever which stood at 12.48.

The Suicide Hand Guide is the fourth confirmed series to return to the DRTV lineup next session, as it follows early renewed series Unfinished Business, It's Always Me, and Later Tonight with CzarTim.

Currently, the only actor that has been formally contracted to appear in the second season of the series is Jodelle Ferland, although their are rumors that see Derek Luke and Liam Aiken returning, as well; but, time will tell.

The Suicide Hand Guide currently airs at 10:30 on DRTV.

There was a lot of controversy surrounding the fabled third season to session 6 light weight contender and then session 7 top rated show I Don’t Care. The show has been canceled, twice, on two networks and has had lukewarm viewer response. It just makes it a very undefined show ratings wise. If anyone cares, who are they and why?

Producer Phaethon0017 wanted to make sure a few things were known about the Final Season before the season premiere this Wednesday.

Quote:

“For one, I didn’t say I was done until people started telling me that I was.”

Detailing raunchy, borderline perverse subject matter at times, I Don’t Care has walked a fine line of suggestive humor and mudslinging.

Quote:
“In the season 2 premiere, I included a slight jab at producer Chocolate Dog over his casting of what I felt was an important character for the show. Essentially his show Super’s schedule limited actress Eliza Dushku to two appearances for the season. I was able to work around it, but she really wasn’t needed on his show, I felt.”

The short scene detailing an automated voice message left by supposed Chocolate Dog shot some sparks in the HTG community. Combined with his unregulated page lengths and lack of compliance with advertiser specifications, Phaethon0017 found himself getting the cold shoulder from those around him.

Quote:
“I guess the biggest offense I felt was the uncertainty. I wasn’t paid until very late in the game. Last year I did a short season of four episodes I couldn’t have been happier on my decision. Despite the show gaining steam ratings wise, it wasn’t getting any viewer feedback. Coupled with the estrangement of my network head over minor legalities, I was just glad to get it over with.”

But the drama didn’t end there. At the season finale, an admittedly odd and troubling one featuring what appeared to be a bombing attack on one of the show’s scenic restaurant locations, it included a lengthy dialogue between show characters Benjamin and Edward on their uncertainty for another season.

Quote:
“I used that scene pretty much to express my ambivalence of the show’s reception. I was happy to have my show coincidentally being one of the forerunners for that session’s #1 network, but I really was feeling on the outskirts of everything. I never specifically said that I was going to leave the show, but I decided to create that scene and see how things played out in my absence.”

The decision came rather suddenly. It was revealed that RogueNet network head Lucian had decidedly canceled the show, making the decision for producer Phaethon0017.

Quote:
“This was a bit different than when Quantum had cut off the show. I could understand that. It was ranked #8 overall, and he seemed to be heading in the direction that would lead to more dramas – look at what happened to Snobs. Here I was, the #1 show creator, not even getting my paltry money that was owed to me based on frivolous lawsuits that could have been pushed aside. At the very least make them official. But it just took time, and more time, and I finally decided I was going to go dark until I felt I needed to return.”

Phaethon0017 wouldn’t return for several months after the events in session 7. That was when he was approached by Flip Bros TV head RS for to lead the primetime line up and have an hour slot.

Quote:
“By this point, I was feeling like Brett Favre. I had been apart of the other two networks and their success, I guess now I felt it was going to be my time to see if that success would translate for the final season or if the previous times had been flukes.”

With the new network, Phaethon0017 felt the freedom to do a bit more with the narrative given the increased time slot.

Quote:
“I really felt no pressure to perform here. I’ve done this twice already, so if the third try falls apart, so be it. This is probably the first show to be doing something like this. Whether you watched the first two seasons or not, everyone will be confused at the beginning of this season. We’re running six episodes, but we’re taking the annoying Star Wars approach to them. You will see how the show ends before you see how it started. I have some very interesting techniques to ensure you’re still interested in going back after hitting the wall."

With a new home and management, I Don’t Care looks to return into the competition after months of indecision and miss communication. When asked what he felt about where the show was headed, the producer had this to say.

Quote:
“I don’t care. That was my motto when I started the show. I just pitched it because I wanted a show because Czartim had one, and it pissed him off that I got it without much effort. I’ve always written the show for myself, so as long as it doesn’t disappoint its biggest and only fan, it’ll be a success.”

Don’t forget to tune into FBTV every Wednesday to watch the last season of what could be the first and last great HTG stupid comedy.

DRTV and Laughing Dead (Now With Zinc) Productions are proud to announce that production on the new TV series The Suicide Hand Guide, from rookie producer Blueothello, has begun.

The series follows Dylan, a college student with a lot on his plate. Contemplating suicide, he places a razor over his wrist and is about to coward out when his roommate bursts into his room, this startles him, and he cuts his wrist. Now, he's trapped in a world run by The Gamekeeper, a world where the people play a game. A game that changes with each round. A game where the rules are never the same. Now, Dylan must navigate his way through this world as he tries to prevent his death a second time, a death which will send him to an eternity of his own personal hell.

The Suicide Hand Guide will star Liam Aiken as Dylan; Vanessa Hudgens as Erika, a girl in a rock band who kills herself over the pressure of fame; and Derek Luke as Dean, a trucker who killed himself because of the Mafia's threats towards him and his family.

More cast members will be announced in the coming weeks. The Suicide Hand Guide will premiere during Session 8 only on DRTV.
