HTG YACHT CLUB
207 Flynn Place, HTG Hollywood

Commodore Pete

Take me to Pier 1

What is the HTG Yacht Club?

The HTG Yacht Club is HTG Hollywood's only location for living and fun on the sapphire blue water that is off HTG's shore.  At the club we have slips for your boat, as well as a clubhouse that hosts an occasional fun-filled event.

How can I get in on the fun at HTG Yacht Club?
Before you can park your nautical vehicle or take part in the nightlife at the clubhouse, you must have a membership.

What does a membership cost?  How long does it last?
There are currently three levels of membership at the HTG Yacht Club.  The basic membership is $10 million.  The second level, gold membership, is $25 million.  And the third level, platinum membership, is more, but currently not available.
If you have one level of membership, the cost for it may be deducted from the cost of the next level.  For example, if you have a basic membership and wish a gold one, you need to pay only $15 million.  The deal to purchase membership (and all other deals concerning the HTG Yacht Club) should be made to htgstore.
HTG Yacht Club memberships last as long as you live in HTG Hollywood.  They immediately expire when you move away.  They are not transferable.

What do I get for a membership?

First off, having a membership allows you to park a boat in one of the slips at the pier.  It does not pay for the boat itself, but it does allow you to have the privilege of having a boat to live on/store items on.  The good thing about boats are is that you can upgrade/downgrade your boat type, but still use the same slip for one boat.  So when you buy a boat for the HTG Yacht Club, a slip will be assigned to you, just like an apartment is assigned to a tenant.
Memberships also allow participation in HTG Yacht Club events.  For now, a basic membership is all that is needed to enjoy life with the waves under your feet.

Boats?  Did you say boats?
Yes, you can purchase a boat and park it in a slip at the HTG Yacht Club if you have a membership.  If you don't have a membership, you're out of luck.  Each slip at a pier can hold just one vessel.
Following is the short selection of boats available at this time  to HTG Hollywood residents:

Basic Rowboat ($5 million)
This little vessel isn't much to look at, but it will get you started on your nautical life.  A basic rowboat holds an unlimited film library, 1 franchise, 2 items and 5 Awards.

Catamaran ($10 million)
This single-masted vessel is a bargain!  You'll enjoy sailing out on the deep blue sea with this 35-foot beauty.  A catamaran holds an unlimited film library, 5 franchises, 4 items and 10 Awards.

Princess ($30 million)
This 40-foot yacht is floating comfort.  Cruise through the water and enjoy the fresh air of the open sea.  The Princess holds an unlimited film library, 10 franchises, 6 items and 20 Awards.

Crystal ($60 million)
Now we're talking!  At 110 feet, the Crystal is the most luxurious sea vessel currently available to HTG Hollywood residents.  The Crystal can hold an unlimited film library, 15 franchises, 10 items and 35 Awards.

So having a boat in a slip is like having an apartment/condo/house?

Yes, except you'll notice that there was no mention of cars in the above lists.  That's because the HTG Yacht Club provides only one parking space per slip.  If you want to own more cars, you'll have to own property elsewhere in HTG Hollywood.  (You most likely will if you can afford to be a mover and shaker at the HTG Yacht Club!)

Can I get extensions such as libraries for my boat?

No, libraries, garages, tennis courts and pools cannot be added like they can for a house.  However, you may attach boat-specific additions to your sea-going vessel:

Yacht Jacuzzi ($10 million)
Take the party to the high seas!  A jacuzzi is available for Princess and Crystal owners only.  It will add 4 items to the limit for those boats.

Gosh, this HTG Yacht Club seems expensive.

As it should.  Membership and life at the HTG Yacht Club is for the privileged few in HTG Hollywood who can afford it.  If you can't afford this special opportunity, there's always room in the slums.

What about the events at the HTG Yacht Club clubhouse?

Occasionally an opportunity will develop for members of the HTG Yacht Club that non-members will not be able to participate in.  These opportunities may include special sales, auctions and parties.

Where can I find out more about the HTG Yacht Club?

Commodore Pete can be reached through his friend the HTG Items Administrator at miraclepix@yahoo.com.  Commodore Pete is the crusty salt who will have most of the answers that you are looking for.  If not, he can always down a bottle of 20 year-old single malt and make something up.  He will answer your question as soon as possible.  At times it may be necessary to show patience.  He did lose that one eye many years back and it sometimes gets difficult reading emails.  Or you can as the HTG Items Admin if you see him in chat.

I'm in!  Where can I submit my deal to?

Before you send your hard-earned (or not!) HTG cash in, make sure that there is a slip available at the pier for your boat.  If you already have a slip and a boat, you'll have to get rid of the old boat before you can put the new one in the same slip.  Or you'll just have to buy a new slip if available.  If a slip is not available, the pier is full.  At this time there is only one pier, Pier 1.  More piers may be opened in the future.
Use the deal submission form to send the cash to htgstore.  Make sure that you are explicit in what you are buying.
You can always own a club membership and participate in HTG Yacht Club events.  There does not have to be an available slip for that.

Hey!  I have a vehicle at my HTG Hollywood home that's a boat!  Can I put it in a slip at the HTG Yacht Club?

Sorry, but no.  Those vessels, such as the Orca from the movie Jaws, are special unique vessels that must be kept dry at a parking space to maintain their condition.  However, you can ironically park one of those crafts in your parking spot at the HTG Yacht Club as explained above.

Commodore Pete hopes to see you soon on the ocean blue!

JUST IN!  New HTG Yacht Club-only pets and items!

Sea Lion
($8 million)

Beach Ball
($4 million)

Required on your boat to have up to 3 pet sea lions.  Twp balls can fit on one sea vessel.

Dolphin

As smart as they are entertaining!  Dolphins provide $100K to the ad budgets of your films.  Requires bow hoop ornament.

Bow Hoop Ornament
($6 million)

Needed on your boat to have up to 2 pet dolphins.  Only one bow ornament per vessel.

How do I get these pets/items?

As usual, just send a deal in to htgstore.  Make sure to explain the purchase in the text of the deal.

Can I have pets from the HTG Mega Mart on my boat at the HTG Yacht Club?

No, these pets are specially trained to stay within petting distance of your water craft.  Besides, would you really want a pet shark swimming in the water just off the pier?
