TOY DRIVE
Thanks to a shrewd deal with toy company Mattel, action
figures for your film have filled up stores far and wide
before the release date, and it has set off a toy craze
not seen since the golden age of the 1980's. Young children
and even grown ups can't get enough of these quality
action figures and stores are having a hard time keeping
the shelves stocked. Thanks to this your film gets 20
million in free advertising budget (which can not be
added to). Must create a picture of an actor/actress
as an action figure and submit to Mega Mart. (Does not
apply for Documentary, Drama, or Romance. NOTE: You will
not get money when your toy is sold in Mega Mart.) |
Sibling Rivalry TV Award
Cast any two real life brothers or sisters (half-sibling count) as regulars
in the same TV series and you get a +2 bonus to your talent cap for as
long as both are on the show! |
Cross-Promotion
You
may advertise your TV show (or) movie for one month in
The Hollywood
Times for FREE (Central Bank will pay for the ad). |
The
Shat is Back Baby!
William Shatner will work for free and pay the genre costs
of any SCI FI, ACTION or FANTASY film in which you cast
him in a Top 2 role. |
WES
CRAVEN PRESENTS
Wes Craven loves your script and has agreed to produce and
direct your horror film or musical. He will do this for no
charge and pay the production budget. The title must
include 'Wes Craven Presents…'" |
DENISE
IS HOT AGAIN
September 3 is Charlie Sheen's birthday. You drop by his
house to give him a present (a bottle of 20 year old
Scotch -- the dude loves the sauce) and you accidentally
step in a small mud puddle near the driveway. When you
step on the white carpet in Charlie's living room, the
actor freaks out. He's not upset that you tracked mud on
his carpet, though. He thinks that the footprints on the
white surface resemble the face of his ex-wife, Denise
Richards. Charlie has the carpet cleaned, but the mud
stain does not fade. Out of aggravation, he has the muddy
carpet replaced and taken to the dump. A transient
salvaging at the dump notices the muddy image of the
actress and takes it. He sleeps in an alley, using the
soft muddy carpet as an ersatz sleeping bag. One day a
passerby notices the muddy image draped across the
homeless man and is inspired by the image. The passerby
owns an art gallery nearby. The gallery owner gives the
homeless man a smooth one hundred dollars for the carpet
and hangs the section with the muddy Denise Richards image
in his gallery. Art lovers from miles around flock in to
see the accidental masterpiece. Denise Richards is in the
news again, but this time not for the messy end to her
marriage. If you use the actress in a top four role in a
movie, she gets +2 to her Talent Score. (Oh, the homeless
guy spent the money he got for the carpet on a bottle of
20 year old Scotch. Go figure.

ONE-TIME/HALF-OFF
This Special One-Time Half-Off Voucher may be used one
time only for the production costs of a film of 20 pages
or less. Please mention use of the voucher when paying for
the production costs of the film and post a message on the
update thread in the forum. |
Hey, I Want One of Those! Award
Sometimes an auction item has too many bidders to be the
winner. Or sometimes real life puts a damper on being there
when the last-minute bidding goes on. Don't worry about that
now with this award. If you bid on an item or award and are
outbid, you can get a copy of that item or award, excluding
a unique item, for the bid price that preceded the winning
bid. (Check the CLOSED AUCTIONS list for details on bidding
for an item that you have bid on.) |
| POOL
PARTY! You win a free pool with pool house if you live
in a small house or better. If you live in an apartment
or condo, a pool will be built there, but no pool house
will be built and the pool can not be moved if you
move. |
| BOXING
SEASON: An older rich boxer agrees to pay full production
costs/ad budget for your Boxing Drama. Note: Must be
drama and have to do with boxing. Also must write an
article or press release about the player funding the
film. |
| A free Times ad that will stay there for
a whole month! |
NERDS
BAND TOGETHER!
You go to a Nerd convention and meet a wealthy
nerd who wants to make a Fantasy movie. You say you make
movies and he in turn agrees to pay for half the production
costs of a fantasy film and he'll throw 10 mil towards
ad budget. |
War is not fun
The U.S. Democratic Party
is looking to secretly fund a film that shows the horrors
of war as a part of its ongoing attack against the current
White House “directed aggressive international relationship
policies.” They will pick up the production costs
of your War film if it portrays war as bad, bad, bad. |

You hit the Jackpot Lotto for 100 Million. There is only one
catch... it’s a Filmmaker Lotto and you have to spend the
money on one film. This includes budget, casting and
DISTRIBUTION. Who needs a studio anyway? |
A Graphic Novel Idea Award
Your movie is a huge hit amongst those discriminating members of the comic
book industry, and they’re interested in taking the franchise into their realm
of entertainment. To collect the $25 million in licensing fees, your movie
must be an original concept (not a franchise) and you’ll need to issue
a press release with a cover for the comic. The comic will than be sold in
the Mall (you will not get money per sale though). |
MAKING AMENDS AWARD
Do you know who is really sorry about all of the trouble
that she's been causing? Paris Hilton. But she's serving
time now and she hopes that people will take that as a sign
of her wanting to make up for everything. But that's just a
start. Paris knows that she will have to do something big to
win over the hearts of those she annoyed. And what's bigger
than a science fiction movie? Paris is willing to fund the
COMPLETE genre cost of a Sci Fi movie, but with certain
conditions. Paris and her best friend Nichole Richie must be
the top two talents in the feature. And they must not be
used sporadically in the film -- they must be the actual
stars! (Game admins will judge this after the film releases.
If this condition is not met, the cost of the production
will be deducted from the studio account.) And, as a bonus,
every time that Paris says "That's hot!" in the film, she
will give you $1 million for advertising, up to ten times.
(This cannot be combined with other awards to boost the ad
budget.) |

Studios make bucks when tickets are bought at the theatre.
Theatres make bucks selling soda, popcorn, candy and other
goodies at the concession stand. Wouldn't you like a piece
of the action? Now you can! During the buzz vote week of an
HTG film, let the game admins know that you are using this
award. When the movie (it doesn't even have to be your
movie) is released, you get 10% of the first week's domestic
box office of that film paid directly to your bank account!
That's as sweet as Skittles! |
ANGELINA WANTS A ROLE AWARD
Actress/world activist Angelina Jolie feels that she is
underused in HTG Hollywood. She is willing to work in your
film for free, under certain conditions. She must be the
number one talent in the movie. Plus she cannot portray a
lesbian or be in a single scene where there is a firearm of
any kind. Thanks to the media circus surrounding the film,
she will get an extra +2 to her TS. You must publish a story
about the movie and Angelina in a HTG news source before the
film opens in order to use this award. |
JACKSON’S ROOTS
Peter Jackson wants to return to his low budget roots. If
you hire him to helm an arthouse film, he will pay for the
production budget, the advertising budget and up to $10
million in creative. |
WES CRAVEN PRESENTS AWARD
Wes Craven loves your script and has agreed to Produce and Direct your horror
film or musical. He will do this for no charge and pay the production (genre)
budget. The title must include “Wes Craven Presents…” |
B-CAST AWARD
You get 10 million towards casting your next film. |
GOODFELLAS
Joe Pesci and Robert Deniro have don’t a lot together
over the years, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Casino and the
list goes on. They wish to appear in another film together.
If you sign Jose Pesci and Robert Deniro to your film Joe
Pesci will appear for free and Robert Deniro will appear
for free and will pay the genre cost. |
DYNAMIC DUO
Over the years the Spielberg and Hanks duo have made some pretty damn good films.
They're hoping to keep that tradition going with yet another, only this time
the film to be of the crime genre. If you agree to produce a crime film staring
Tom Hanks and directed by Steven Spielberg, they will both agree to do the
film free of charge. A chance like this doesn't come around to often! |
GENRE CASTING
25 mil towards casting a Sci-fi, Action or Horror Film. |
| You go to a Nerd convention and meet a wealthy
nerd who wants to make a Fantasy movie. You say you make
movies and he in turn agrees to pay for half the produciton
costs of a fantasy film and he'll throw 10 mil towards
ad budget. Fantasy production budget cut in half! and 10
mil towards ad budget. A press release should be written
about your co-producer. |
